You Will Come Out On Top!!

If you're able to read this message today, smile! You're alive because God is good! You may have just come out of physical or emotional storm, but the LORD is still good! My family and friends in my hometown of St. Thomas, as well as others in the Caribbean, just came through a catastrophic, physical storm. Please keep them in your prayers. Only by God's grace, most of the cities in Florida, including my home, was spared from the full impact of Hurricane Irma. Whether you've come through a physical storm or you're going through an emotional storm, God loves you and has a rhema Word for you today. As He brings you out of the storm, He wants you to come out on top. He desires for you to live out the rest of your life in abundance and to the fullest.

This week I was able to read and meditate on the book of Nahum. I gained such inspiration from it and received comfort to share with you today. I know God does not change. He gave us His word so we can know and understand His trustworthy character. In Nahum I read how He looked down and saw that the people of Ninevah, living a life that would lead to nothingness and distress (chapter 1). He sent them a warning through Nahum a prophet. Nahum told them to reconsider their ways and change their life's course. He reminded them to refocus on God and the path He had for their lives- A path that leads to peace. God is Good! However, for His faithful children, God reminded them that even through the "whirlwind and the storm" (vs 3), "The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him" (vs7).  As you go through the storm or if you've just landed from the storm, let God carry you the rest of the way. As you self reflect, where ever you find yourself, allow God to redirect or continue to direct you on the path He has for your life. Whether the storm caught you on-course or off-course, Focus on God. It's a new day! The storm came to knock you off His path for your life. Don't let it! Remember that "ALL things are working out for your good" (Romans 8:28). He will bring you out on top. Turn to Him for direction. With Him as your focus, you will be able to see your path clearly.There is a silver lining in every dark cloud. If you look by faith, you will see it. Just keep pressing. Our God is good! You can trust Him to get you out on TOP!
