God is a God of abundance. He wants us abundant in all areas of our lives. But before we can see abundance in the physical, God wants us to experience it in our soul- innermost being, minds, hearts. That's why He said, "Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance". He was using the analogy to represent His Words/voice. (Isaiah 55:2)
God wants us to experience abundant life in our soul. “Listen, so your soul may live..” He knew that with all the busyness and distractions of life that it would be difficult for us to sit still and listen for His voice. So He encourages us to “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Don’t go your own way and don’t follow your own thoughts” (vs 7).
Instead, tune in, press in, listen in. God encourages us to take on His thoughts and His plans for our lives because His plans and thoughts for our lives are higher and greater that we can even imagine. It will be worth it to tune into His plan.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts” vs9
So today, we tap into God's Source by LISTENING to His voice. We seek Him concerning our future plan and the path He'd like us to take in 2019.
We sit and listen.........
That dream that you’ve holding on to for so long, God is saying, My thoughts and plans are way bigger than that. Give yourself permission to Listen to God for 21 days. Give Him all your dreams. After 21 days, I’d be excited to find out how He has expanded that dream or shown you a better, quicker and greater route to your God-Ordained destiny.
Remember, God doesn’t just want to give you a great life, He wants to give you a life of significance to such a magnitude that He gets glorified through you.
AFFIRMATIONS (To be spoken out loud) Let's begin with some affirmations to speak over your life three times today (before each meal or as you're led). Meal times (or when you're tempted to eat something that's NOT on your meal plan) are great because you're reminded of why you're fasting. It helps to remind us that we are "seated in the heavenly realm" (Eph.2:6) as we set aside time to listen & hear God's voice. He's speaking. Listen.
Affirmation #1 * As I am seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, I am listening to the voice of the Lord. I hear Him directing me and leading me in the path that I should follow. (Eph 2)
<< Test First Name >>, As you read Day 2 of your journal, take time to pray and praise, then sit and listen before you write. We will be revisiting our journal entries for each section at the end of the fast. But for now,
